Navigating the Future: APSCo OutSource's Hot Topics for 2024 

In 2024, we will be prioritising six key themes that we believe will need closer focus next year and beyond. These themes will serve as the foundation for our meetings, events, discussions, debates and our conversation series.. 

1. Skills First  

Skills first hiring is something we kicked off in 2023 and it will remain at the top of our agenda during 2024. In a rapidly evolving global landscape, the importance of skills cannot be overstated, and we place a significant emphasis on cultivating and leveraging skills that are essential for success in the modern workplace. Whether it's upskilling the workforce or aligning talent with evolving market demands, our commitment to supporting a skills first approach ensures that our members remain competitive and adaptable. 

2. Uniting Generations 

Diversity in age brings a wealth of perspectives and experiences to the table and we recognise the strength that comes from uniting generations within the workforce. In 2024, we aim to create an inclusive environment that values the contributions of individuals across different age groups. By fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing, we strive to help our members harness the power of a diverse, multi-generational workforce. 

3. Sustainability 

APSco OutSource is dedicated to making a positive impact on the environment and society. Sustainability is not just a buzzword for us—it's a guiding principle. We will help our members and partners work towards implementing eco-friendly practices, reducing their carbon footprint, and supporting initiatives that promote a sustainable future. Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond business, reflecting our responsibility to the planet and future generations. 

4. Technology 

In the age of digital transformation, staying ahead of technological advancements is crucial. We are committed to embracing and leveraging cutting-edge technologies that enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and drive innovation. By working with our Trusted Partners and their technology, we empower our members to thrive in an ever-changing technological landscape. 

5. Diversity and Inclusion 

We believe in the strength that diversity brings to the workplace. In 2024, we will continue our efforts to foster an inclusive culture that celebrates differences and values every individual. Our commitment to diversity and inclusion extends beyond rhetoric, as we actively guide our members to create a workplace where everyone feels heard, respected, and empowered to contribute their unique talents. 

6. Modern Work 

The concept of work is evolving, and APSco OutSource strive to support our members in being at the forefront of modern work practices.
